A survey of the Elden Ring community has revealed many player preferences: class, weapon, boss, trait… find out what players like.

Already essential only a few months after its release, Elden Ring gave a new dimension to the Souls franchise. The difficulty and the lore as exciting as it is cryptic remain, but in a colossal open world in which each plot of the map promises unexpected discoveries.

More than ten million players have embarked on this unprecedented adventure, each shaping the world with their vision of the game. Because if there is one rule that applies to Souls, it is that there is an infinity ways to navigate and progress in this austere world.

Have you ever wondered how other players have chosen to lead their adventure? A recent survey conducted by Famitsu and translated by Frontline JP could tell you a lot about the preferences of players who, like you, have rubbed shoulders with the Elden Ring experience.

The preferred class of Elden Ring players

The starting class has little influence on your adventure in Elden Ring. Aside from a few differently assigned stat points and starting gear that you’ll eventually replace, the class ultimately only defines how you’ll spend your first few hours of play.

Nevertheless, it is curious to note that among the 10 classes available, two stand out enormously from the lot by their popularity. Indeed, more than half of the players who responded to the survey opted for the Vagabond or the Samurai as their starting class.
