The Shardless around the world keep surprising us with mods, each one more original than the next. It seems their imagination knows no bounds, especially when it comes to recreating fictional characters in Elden Ring.
While FromSoftware’s latest game bears many similarities to the Berserk manga, many even believe that the anime’s dark universe may have influenced the game’s creators in the design of certain locations and characters. That’s why a player decided to create a Berserk mod, to marry the two fantastic worlds.
Confront Guts in Elden Ring
It didn’t escape the eagle eyes of the Splinterless community, Blaidd, the half-wolf warrior, bears a strong resemblance to the Berserk license protagonist, Guts.
Blaidd indeed has a substantial sword as well as wolf armor that looks like two drops of water to the one Guts wears. Moreover, their cold temper and their (very) terrifying appearance only confirm this theory saying that this is a real nod to Berserk.
A similarity that Garden Of Eyes, a developer of various and varied mods, decided to push by creating a special Berserk one, turning Blaidd into Guts, the Dark Swordsman.
Garden of Eyes is already quite well known in the vast world of Elden Ring mods because it is the source of many of them, including the one allowing to summon, thanks to war ashes, the famous player in underpants of the Let me Solo Her.
The modder has yet to reveal which creature or boss he modeled the moves from. Although we suspect that Blaidd is very present in the equation, some players have also believed to detect movements of Maliketh or the fearsome Leonine Chimera. A recipe that only the developer has the secret (for now).
A worldwide success
After posting a video of his fight against Guts on YouTube as well as on social media, the Garden Of Eyes mod has achieved worldwide success. On Twitter in particular, where many users marveled at this mod combining their favorite manga with their game of the moment.
The success of this video and this mod lies in the fact that… everything is perfect. From the music, to the boss, or even to the scarlet atmosphere of the battlefield, players are immediately transported into the world of Berserk. It is therefore another success for the developer, who is not at his first attempt and will surely continue to surprise us with mods always more original than the other!
