Almost three months after its release, Elden Ring continues to please and many players from all over the world continue their adventure in the Underworld. But among all of these Shardless, some were asked by Famitsu about their preferences in FromSoftware’s latest game. This survey, concerning various subjects (weapons, bosses, places, …) was carried out from April 9 to 13 and has just been published by the Japanese magazine. We learn a lot of information about the elements of the game preferred by Elden Ring players, let’s see it all together.
What do players like best about Elden Ring?
It’s more than 1,650 people who have played the latest game from FromSoftware who were interviewed. The latter have exceeded, for the most part, 100 hours of play on Elden Ring, the time to get an idea. One of the central questions of the survey was “What was your favorite thing about Elden Ring?” with several possible answers like “the story”, “the music”, “characters” and many other features of the game. The first three favorite aspects of the players are therefore:
- The story/the universe: 1410
- The map : 1391
- Explore: 1225
It is important to specify that the players questioned could choose multiple responses at once. It is therefore the fantastic universe and the dark lore of FromSoftware’s latest game that has most charmed Elden Ring players.
Special mention however to the answer “horse”who managed to collect more than 711 votes from the Shatterless. Also mentioned were some specific features of the game like “the perfect balance in combat, where you can kill even a god one-on-one, but you can be killed by ordinary enemies when facing multiple ones”.
Classes, weapons and ashes of war
Regarding the classes most chosen by the players, we find a winning trio:
- Wanderer: 427, favored by players for a build focused on stamina and endurance. Most respondents wanting to focus on Stamina builds, so Wanderer is a logical choice.
- Samurai: 424, in reference to other games like Sekiro, players appreciate this class which offers both numerous weapons and a foolproof style.
- Prisoner : 153, with his more than original helmet, the prisoner has very balanced stats.
Regarding weapons favorites of the Shardless, here they are:
The Katana has seduced players thanks to its speed, but also its significant power. With a good Dexterity build, the katana can turn out to be totally formidable against the enemies of the Underworld.
On the side of the best ashes of wars/ weapon skills according to the community, we find:
- No Bloodhound: 589, described as the ultimate dodge in the game, it allows you to dodge easier than a roll with a longer invincibility period, and more control over the destination.
- Transient Moonlight: 228, directly attached to the katana of the veil of the moon, it allows to cut horizontally the air with a remarkable speed.
According to the community, therefore, the perfect Shinless would be a wanderer with a stamina/dexterity build, equipped with a katana and ashes of war “No Bloodhound Knight”. So you know everything about the perfect character in the Elden Ring and are therefore (supposedly) ready to venture into the Underworld!
