Elden Ring: What if the game was released on PS1? What would that give?

Hoolopee is a content creator on YouTube who has a brilliant habit of taking trailers of current games and revamping them, but in such a way that they look like a game dating back to the PlayStation 1. It’s a pleasure to watch, because on the one hand the work is colossal, but above all the latter is produced with a master’s hand. The comparison between the two trailers is on the one hand striking and makes it possible to realize that we live in a wonderful time, because in less than 30 years, video games have gone from small pixelated cubes to astonishing realism. One of these last videos touches Elden Ring and the comparison is interesting.

Elden Ring, but on PS1

Even if for some players the following images can burn the eyes, veterans of the video game community will be delighted by this viewing, because it will be covered with a touch of nostalgia. In the comparison, we can notice that indeed, cubism is there, but the very essence of the Elden Ring trailer is transcribed to perfection, with small details that give pleasure, in particular the depth of field on the plane where Bloodshard rides on Torrent’s back.

Although it is true that Malenia is not as detailed (as well as all the other characters), we are still able to recognize them and see the aura that emanates from them. We think in particular of Radagon of the Golden Order which is easily recognizable on this trailer.

Hoolopee did not start with Elden ring, but was particularly pleased with other trailers, including Halo, Death Stranding, but also Resident Evil Village. Here is a link that will take you directly to his channel if you want to check out all of his videos, because they are worth watching.
