SRF reports comprehensively on television, radio and online about the results, reactions and analyzes of the National Council and Council of States elections.
Switzerland will elect a new National Council on Sunday. In addition, elections to the Council of States are taking place in 24 cantons. SRF also provides projections, results, reactions and analyzes on television, radio and online.
Live broadcast on TV lasting several hours
Bundeshaus editor Nathalie Christen will guide viewers through the almost twelve-hour live broadcast on television from 12 p.m. She is supported by Urs Leuthard and Curdin Vincenz in the Zurich Leutschenbach election studio.
Political scientist Lukas Golder from the GFS Bern research institute classifies current developments and results. From the election studio, connections are made to SRF correspondents throughout Switzerland.
From 4 p.m., election day will also be translated into sign language on SRF info.
At 6 p.m. SRF will broadcast the most important national projection of the distribution of seats in the new parliament. This is followed by the presidential round, where the leaders of the major parties comment on the results in front of the camera for the first time.

When reporting on elections, SRF focuses on digital offerings. Anyone interested will receive all the information as well as projections and results in graphics in the SRF News app and on the web.

The election broadcast will be streamed in the live ticker from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and from 9:15 p.m. to 12:05 a.m. (available worldwide).

Conversations and background on the radio
Radio SRF 1 and Radio SRF 4 News will report live from the radio studio in Bern from 12 p.m. Simone Hulliger and Brigitte Kramer accompany listeners through election day and hold conversations with politicians and correspondents in the cantons.
Philipp Burkhardt classifies what is happening as an expert. The six regional journals play a central role in Radio SRF’s reporting. They provide information twice an hour directly from the cantons’ voting centers, from where they deliver votes, analyzes and interviews.
