The Green Liberals snatched a seat from almost every other party. Only the SVP can defend their seats.
The big winner in the Nidwalden district administrator is the Green Liberal Party. Although it was only founded less than a year ago, it has just won quite a lot in its first elections. The GLP won 5 of the 60 seats in the Nidwalden cantonal parliament.
The amazing thing is that with the GLP there is one big winner, but on the other hand there is no real loser. FDP, CVP, Greens and SP each lost only one seat. The independent Pierre Nemitz also lost – he was unable to defend his seat. Thus, only the SVP gets away without losing a seat.
Overall, the distribution of power in the Nidwalden district administrator remains somewhat similar. The three big bourgeois parties CVP, FDP and SVP continue to set the tone and hold around three quarters of all seats. The FDP remains the strongest party.
Incidentally, the Aufrecht association, which was founded by critics of the Corona measures, failed to enter parliament. All three of his candidacies failed to clear the hurdle.
