Electra Station Access: recharge your electric vehicle 24/7 when the car parks are closed

The French specialist in urban fast charging Electra launches Station Access. Accessible from the mobile application, this function provides access to charging stations located in places closed by a barrier or in paid car parks.

Although the majority of charging stations for electric vehicles are now located on free access roads, some are located in places closed by barriers, especially in the evening. We are thinking in particular of hotels, business parks, paid car parks at airports and railway stations, and even shopping centres.

This is why the French specialist in urban fast charging Electra – which has some charging stations whose access is limited by a barrier – has developed “Station Access“. This feature available from the mobile application (iOS and Android) allows you to open barriers and other gates.

Operation is simple. All you have to do is reserve your charge, then go to the chosen site and order the opening from a dedicated button on the application. This same command will be used to exit the car park. The driver does not have to stay near or in the car during charging; he can also get out of where he is. A box connected to the site allows it to circulate freely.

In the event that no reservation has been made, access is possible by scanning the QR Code placed at the entrance to the site. Last solution, it is possible to enter a closed site equipped with Electra terminals by reading license plates.

On the other hand, on the closed paying car parks, you will have to pay for the parking only if you exceed the allotted charging time, in order to avoid fraud. In the event of an overrun, the payment for the car park may be coupled with the payment of the charge via the Electra mobile application.
