A recent movie poster released by Arnold Schwarzenegger puzzled: will he play Zeus? Now the motif has been revealed as an advertising campaign for the Super Bowl.

- An epic film poster recently made the rounds on the internet, showing Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus, the father of the gods.
- However, the lack of information and the specified start date in February 2022 made us suspicious.
- Now the assumptions have been confirmed: It is a Super Bowl advertising campaign – by BMW.
After the end of his political career, there were no new film successes for cult actor and ex-bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger. The most famous films of the “Governator”, such as “Terminator 2” or “Predator”, are now decades ago.
His return as the Terminator in ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ flopped and, inexplicably, Arnie has yet to be persuaded to step back into Turbo Man’s costume in a sequel to ‘The Promise Is The Promise’.
In any case, fans of the past were surprised when the Styrian posted a (supposed) film poster of himself as the highest of the ancient Greek gods on his Instagram channel.
However, doubts quickly arose as to whether “Zeus” was a real film. For one, nothing was known about the project in the well-connected Hollywood world, and it’s unlikely that a historical epic starring Arnie would fly so under the radar. In addition, movie posters usually contain more information than just the main actor’s name, the title and the date.
But the date “February 2022” already indicated the actual background: On February 13, 2022, the 56th Super Bowl, the final of the North American football league NFL, will take place in Los Angeles. And for the Super Bowl, incredibly elaborate commercials are traditionally produced, which often threaten to overshadow the game itself.
For example, Keanu Reeves, “Captain America” Chris Evans and Liam Neeson have all appeared in Super Bowl ads in recent years. A video from BMW’s American YouTube channel now confirms that we will only see Arnie’s Zeus in one commercial.
In the short teaser for the real commercial, we see Zeus getting a coffee. More is not yet known about the content of the advertisement, but the title “Something Electric is Brewing” indicates that it will probably be about electric cars. By the way, Schwarzenegger’s good friend Ralf Möller will also appear in the full spot – as Poseidon.
By the way, later this year Arnie will be part of the long-awaited “Kung Fury: The Movie”. In the Hollywood sequel to the YouTube phenomenon, Arnie plays the US President while smoking a cigar.
