Electric cars: soon charging stations in Accor hotels


68 establishments of the hotel group will have charging points in their car parks in France.

Electric vehicle charging stations will be deployed in the hotels of the Accor group brands such as F1, Ibis, Mercure or Novotel, by the company Electra, which has concluded an agreement with AccorInvest, owner of buildings and hotel operator of a park of 800 hotels.

From the end of 2022, will be gradually equipped with “fast and ultra-fast charging stations”68 establishments “mainly located in urban areas”– i.e. a total of 362 charging points – “starting with Paris and Lyon”, said a press release on Thursday. These charging stations, “fully supplied with green energy, will be accessible to all”hotel customers, roaming individuals or even professional fleets (taxis, VTC, logistics, car sharing, etc.).

Accessible 24/7

Hotel car parks will be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and motorists “will be able to benefit from hotel services while charging their vehicle”, specify the partners. Co-founded in 2021 by Aurélien de Meaux, Augustin Derville and Julien Belliato, Electra will be responsible for installing and operating the stations.

Formerly the real estate division of Accor, which now owns only 30%, AccorInvest owns and operates a fleet of 800 hotels under different brands of the French hotel giant (Ibis, Novotel, Mercure… ) in 27 countries, in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
