Turning in three moves is a thing of the past – completely different tricks are possible in the world of electric off-roaders. Like the Rivian R1T, the all-electric Mercedes EQG can turn on the spot, as you can see in the video below.
It is not without reason that the German car manufacturer chose sand as the substrate for this trick. Because for the tank turn, or rather the G-turn, it is necessary or more material-friendly if the wheels do not lock. The everyday use is rather small. Mercedes announced the EQG at last year’s IAA with a rather strange but definitely worth seeing video. The off-road vehicle is still in the concept phase. Series production is scheduled to start in 2024.
