The anniversary edition of the Electric Love Festival started with lots of pyrotechnics and thousands of fans. The coming days promise many highlights.
Every year it is one of the must-attend dates at the Electric Love Festival. We’re talking about the opening show. The team behind the event and DJ Wolfram Felice, who now calls himself “Slashy Disco”, have been working on the 15 minutes from 9:45 p.m. to 10 p.m. for almost a whole year. “There’s a lot of effort behind it,” said Felice beforehand. “We want people to remember the opening.” And that will definitely be the case, because the almost 15-minute show played all the “pieces” this year – it was bigger and more elaborate than ever before. Felice shone on a burning piano, surrounded by an orchestra and a gospel choir. There were also flying drummers and pyrotechnics as far as the eye could see. Musically, a “best of” of the past ten years could be heard. Songs like “Gimme Gimme Gimme” by the Swedish cult band “Abba” were included as well as the current hits of the DJ industry. The weather gods mean well with the event this year. Among the thousands of fans there were astonished and satisfied faces. The party of the year opened with a mega show. After the big highlight, the first of three evenings naturally went on. World star Hardwell really got the masses going, dancing, singing and jumping. The next two days also promise many musical highlights and, above all, good weather. Because while the Electric Love Festival has not always been blessed with many rays of sunshine in recent years, visitors should not forget their sunscreen this year. The spectators were already enjoying pleasant temperatures yesterday – today and tomorrow it’s supposed to be even warmer. Boss Manuel Reifenauer in particular would be happy about that: “Currently, the weather is looking good. Hopefully it stays that way.”
