Electric vehicles: 107,937 charging points opened in France in August (Avere)


(AOF) – “As of August 31, 2023, France had 107,937 charging points open to the public, which corresponds to an increase of 55.4% in their number in one year” announces Avere-France, the association national for the development of electric mobility, in a barometer carried out with the Ministry of Energy Transition on the Gireve database. “Another increasing value”, “the average number of charging sessions per charging point, which increased in August by around 20% compared to the first half of 2023”.

The availability rate of fast charging points also improved this summer with an increase of 86% in August.

Since the start of the year, 7,373 new stations representing 25,830 charging points open to the public have been deployed in the region, concludes the association.
