Electricity and Water of Madagascar: published accounts

(Boursier.com) — The 2023 consolidated accounts ofElectricity and Water of Madagascar have a turnover of 552 thousand euros and a net profit, group share, of 8.34 million euros.

The resumption of control of the Victoria Angkor hotel resulted in a profit of 2.89 ME in the consolidated accounts and 3.42 ME in the corporate accounts. Costs were incurred by the group for the renovation and minimum maintenance of the hotel. Also 80% of the Parisian building was sold on March 31, 2023, for €10.1 million, generating a profit net of tax of €7.66 million in the consolidated accounts. €7.7 million was collected after deducting the repurchase value of the lease. At the end of November 2023, EEM also sold its entire stake in Gascogne for a price of 9.79 ME (4 euros per share). These securities appearing in assets for 10.95 ME as of December 31, 2022, a loss of 1.15 ME was recorded over the financial year.

The Board of Directors has also decided to launch a project to transfer the listing of its shares to Euronext Growth Paris with a view to alleviating the regulatory constraints weighing on the company. This transfer remains subject to the authorization of the shareholders at the General Meeting and the agreement of the market company Euronext.
