Strange announcement that the one that Koei-Tecmo just made upstream of Tokyo Game Show 2022. The studio has just formalized the development ofa new game from his studio Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Hyrule Warriors) in collaboration with Electronic Artswho will publish it via his label EA Originals.
It will bea Action RPG with monster hunting (a Monster Hunter-likein short) taking place in a fantasy universe based on feudal Japan and on budget AAA. A first concept art has been unveiled, but no title yet.

Still hard to understand why Koei-Tecmo needs technical or financial assistance fromEA on this one, when he usually releases his own original licenses alone. Should we understand that the project is too big to take on alone, or think that the game in question is based on a franchise ofElectronic Arts ? We’ll find out soon, because more information about him will be given in Septemberperhaps this week as part of or on the sidelines of the TGS 2022.
