For a few years now, Electronic Arts has relocated from E3 a little in order to hold its own meeting during the summer, in order to highlight the next games in its catalog. I’EA Play Live is therefore often the occasion to discover some novelties, such as Dead Space Remake last year, but for 2022, it will be necessary to give up on a new edition.
A complicated schedule for the publisher
It is in a press release addressed to IGN that the publisher announces thatthere will be no EA Play Live this year, as the progress of the projects would not match the schedule :
” We love EA Play Live as a way to connect with players to share everything we have back home. However, this year things don’t line up enough for us to show you everything in one date. We have some exciting things happening in our world-renowned studios, and this year we’ll be revealing a lot more about those projects when the time is right for each one. We look forward to spending time with you throughout the year! “.
An absence of a conference which can therefore be explained by calendar concerns, and we also prefer that the publisher does not maintain this meeting if the program only has a few updates to present, all the more so that the case of Battlefield 2042 had to shake up some plans.
Individual presentations to be planned
So understand that While no EA Play Live is scheduled this year, that doesn’t mean Electronic Arts won’t have anything to show in 2022.. If only for its usual sports games, which will inevitably be revealed during the summer, but also for the next Need For Speedwhich should logically be released later this year.
Should we therefore expect individual presentations of these games, perhaps from other partners? We necessarily think of Microsoft, which will hold a conference in June, and which could find the presence of some EA games in this way. And we saw it with Hogwarts Legacya game-centric State of Play at EA no longer seems so incongruous.
Many also hope that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 will be revealed on May 4, during the Star Wars celebration. As for Dragon Age 4the mystery remains…
