Electronic Arts plans to release four unannounced games in early 2023 including a remake, but not Dead Space

For quite some time now, the month of May has been synonymous with the major companies in the video game industry revealing their financial results for the fiscal year that has just ended. Moreover, this is the perfect opportunity for them to give some clues about their future releases. Yesterday, late afternoon, Electronic Arts lent itself to the exercise by formalizing, without surprise, its excellent financial health and above all the launch of four as yet unannounced titles in early 2023.

An imminent postponement for Dead Space Remake?

As the document shared by the Redwood City firm shows, in addition to the marketing of F1 22 as well as the next installments of the licenses Fifa (which will be renamed EA Sports FC from 2023), Madden NFL, Need For Speed and NHL in 2022, it aims to release no less than five games between January 1 and March 31, 2023: EA Sports PGA Tour, a major IP, a partner title, a remake and a sports game.

Regarding the remake, we necessarily think of that of dead space. Problems, not only has it already been presented to the public, which means that another remake, which has been under the radar for the moment, is in the works, but, in addition, this one is not on the calendar of the American company. Should we understand by this that it is postponed to the next fiscal year? Tomorrow’s livestream hosted by EA Motive might answer that question.

As for the identity of the three productions of which we have not yet spoken, we can suppose that we will find in the batch the continuation of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and maybe even skate 4whose pre-alpha gameplay had leaked a few weeks ago, unless of course another sports franchise makes its appearance (the return of NBA Live for example ?).

For those who hope to see a certain Dragon Age 4, remember that BioWare said last February that its development was only half completed. A statement implying that reports from VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb that no release was expected until late 2023 are true.

Also note that during this new fiscal year, Electronic Arts intends to market two mobile games: Apex Legends Mobile and one set in the universe of Lord of the Rings.
