Electronic Arts: still a game from a “major license” for early 2023, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or a surprise?

After being at the heart of many rumours, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was confirmed by a cutscene last May. And since then, nothing: the project planned for 2023 has not made any public appearance, while rumors of the corridors and clues nevertheless hinted at a launch in March on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

And if the release in March 2023 was still relevant? That’s what hinted Electronic Arts on the occasion of his last financial statement, in which he stated thata game from a “major license” was still planned before the end of the fiscal year, which is by March 31, 2023. This mystery project has been present in the publisher’s results columns for several months, but has still not been named, while the period is fast approaching. And seeing that dead space and Wild Hearts are now named and dated in the publisher’s calendar, it is neither. Logically, either it’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or a nice surprise which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Andrew Wilson explains that he feels very confident about this project, simply explaining that he no longer hesitates to announce games as close as possible to their release, as was the case for Need for Speed ​​Unbound.

We have shifted to more focused digital and are now moving into a more focused timeline around digital. So, for each franchise, our development teams and our marketing teams come together and consider when is the most appropriate time to start meaningfully communicating with our community about upcoming titles.
