Elena Uhlig loves “the excitement of her children at Christmas”. But the holidays mean even more chaos for them than usual.

For actress and author Elena Uhlig (46), Christmas means “even more chaos” than usual, as she said in an interview with the news agency spot on the occasion of her new Christmas film “When the fifth little light burns” (December 3rd, 8:15 pm, in the first) on news reveals. “But at the same time it is a wonderful festival where you can retire with your family.” The 46-year-old has four children with fellow actor Fritz Karl (53). She now loves the excitement of her children at Christmas.

Christ Child or Santa Claus?

“We are still discussing who is coming – the Christ Child or Santa Claus? But the Christmas tree is one of them for all of us,” explains Uhlig with a laugh. “The Little Lord” and “Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella” are also an absolute must for them. And what must be on the menu for Christmas at Uhlig-Karl? “Goose, fondue and sausages. Although I’m flexible with the order,” explains the actress, who now has a large fan base on Instagram, with a wink.

Twice a week it broadcasts live from the toilet at home under the title “Uhligs Stilles Örtchen”. Above all, she looked back on the “crazy year” of 2021 with great gratitude. “In particular, that the people on Instagram have stayed loyal to me. As a thank you, we will start a little advent calendar again, every day from December 1st, of course.” Already in 2020 she and Fritz Karl had a special kind of Advent calendar: “In 24 days to Christmas happiness – A video therapy” with the keywords pre-Christmas crisis, Christmas crisis, life crisis …

Your wishes for 2022

For 2022 she would like one thing above all: “That the pandemic will finally end. And that my family will sail over in good health. And that I will continue to find great guests for my ‘quiet place’.” And of course she continues to wish “to be happy, to eat well and to survive the puberty of my grown-ups”.
