ELEX 2, Jax’s return to the world of Magalan

After an inconclusive first attempt in 2017, the ELEX license returns with a second opus, logically titled ELEX 2. Still developed by the Piranha Bytes studio, and published by THQ Nordic, the game will be released on March 1, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

Here we find Jax again, several years after he defeated the Hybrid. A new threat, coming from the sky, endangers the entire planet Magalan by unleashing the powers of the Dark Elex. Our hero’s mission will therefore be to convince the different factions, which, it should be remembered, cannot be particularly framed, to unite against the invader. And incidentally, to find his son, Dex, from whom he was separated.

Like its predecessor, ELEX 2 intends to stand out for the freedom of exploration in a post-apo universe. Thanks for the return of the jetpack. The various NPCs you encounter should react based on your actions or words. Combat, meanwhile, should feel smoother thanks to improved controls. A lot of promises to keep after the sinking of the first game. Hopefully the studio will have learned the lessons necessary to meet the challenge.
