(Boursier.com) — In accordance with the investment agreement concluded on October 9, 2023 between Elis and BW Gestão de Investimentos Ltda. (“BWGI”), the Supervisory Board of Elis which met on October 26, 2023 appointed Mr. Alexis Martineau as a non-voting member of the Supervisory Board for a period of 4 years.
Mr. Alexis Martineau has been BWGI’s European representative since January 2019. He was previously Managing Director at the private equity firm CVC in the Paris (2011-2015) and Sao Paulo (2016-2019) offices. . He began his career in the investment fund The Carlyle Group (2000-2011) which he joined after obtaining a diploma from HEC.
Pursuant to said investment agreement, the Supervisory Board must also co-opt a representative of BWGI as a member of the Supervisory Board, replacing the representative of Crédit Agricole Assurances (“CAA”) who resigned on October 11, 2023, as of following the completion of the sale by CAA to BWGI of a 6.2% stake in Elis. This BWGI representative will be co-opted for the remaining term of the resigning CAA member and is expected to serve on the Elis Audit Committee. Once co-opted, the Elis Supervisory Board will be made up of 12 members and a censor.
