Elisa Pilarski case: three years after the tragedy, the overwhelming conclusions of a new expertise

Three years after the death of Elisa Pilarski, killed by multiple dog bites in an Axon forest, a new expert report has been published.

Is the dog Curtis or not responsible for the death of Elisa Pilarski, bitten to death on September 16, 2019 in the forest of Retz, in Aisne? Three years later, this question could finally find its answer. As revealed Oise Weeklya new expertise was recently carried out by a veterinarian from Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, and its results are clear: the bite marks examined on the body of Elisa Pilarski, six months pregnant at the time of the tragedy, correspond to the fangs of Curtis, the pit bull of his companion, Christophe Ellul.

According to our colleagues, the expertise carried out in Pau not only proves the responsibility of Curtis in the death of Elisa Pilarski, but also exonerates all the other dogs present on the scene at the time of the tragedy. As a reminder, while the young woman was walking her companion’s pit bull, a hunt was taking place in the presence of around sixty other canines. Since the tragedy, Christophe Ellul blames these dogs and claims the innocence of his. The hunters present on the scene claim that Elisa Pilarski was killed by Curtis. Note that several expertise already overwhelm Curtis, his DNA having been found on the body of the victim.

The trial will not take place before 2023

Indicted for manslaughter and placed under judicial supervision, Christophe Ellul will not be tried before 2023. He is notably accused of having illegally imported Curtis, a dog whose breed, American pit bull terrier, is prohibited in France, and of to have raised him to mordant. Pending the trial and the pronunciation of a final verdict as to the responsibility of Curtis, the dog was placed in a kennel near Toulouse at the expense of justice. According to our colleagues from Free lunchhe would be in good health.
