Elisabeth Borne: an ex-LCI journalist taken to task because of her banging her fist on the table again

Adrien Borne, a journalist, made a new update on his Twitter account this Wednesday, July 12. Tired of being compared to Elisabeth Borne, his message did not go unnoticed.

Being a public figure is not always easy and it is not Elisabeth Borne who will say the opposite. She has been on the front of the stage for several weeks following her appointment by Emmanuel Macron as Prime Minister. “Thank you to Emmanuel Macron for his trust and the honor he does me by appointing me Prime Minister. Thanks also to Jean Castex for his action over the past two years. The challenges before us are great. I fully appreciate this responsibility”, said the former Minister of Labour, Employment and Integration. However, this appointment has drawbacks… for a former LCI journalist. The principal concerned is called Adrien Borne and he therefore has the same surname as Elisabeth Borne. This Wednesday, July 13, he shared a message on his Twitter account to make a point. “You are still many in your tweets (often angry) to confuse: Elisabeth Borne and Adrien Borne“, he first wrote in the caption of two photos. “I’m on the right (in the photos). I know it’s not obvious at first glance“, he had fun then. A post that was intended to silence Internet users who constantly attack him because of his last name.

Adrien Borne wanted to make things clear by showing humor. However, his message was very badly perceived by a surfer who thought he was criticizing the Prime Minister. “So you’re laughing at his face? Not enough makeup for your taste? Not feminine enough? What is the problem ?“, she wrote. To which the principal concerned only replied: “Already a winner. This is not the first time that the journalist has made a point. A few hours before the appointment of Elisabeth Borne, on May 16, he spoke on his Twitter account. “Janticipate if Elisabeth Borne enters Matignon. No it’s not my mother. Do not insist”, he first said before adding: The only free pass that I can promise you is… well nothing in reality“. If he had wished to speak on this subject, it is in particular because he had already received derogatory messages from Internet users who thought they were making a connection between Elisabeth Borne and the journalist, indicating that both could have a family connection or even a relationship.

Adrien Borne: why did he make this point?

A few hours before the appointment of Elisabeth Borne, the journalist had deemed it necessary to indicate to Internet users that he had no relationship with the minister. The reason ? A message he had received from a user. “Son of the authoritarian Prime Minister the unsympathetic millionaire and leftist aide. It’s good not to see you on LCI anymore. You will have the free cover paid by our taxes“, he had been able to read. Quickly, he had restored the truth and has continued to do so since. As a reminder, the Prime Minister would have a child named Nathan, born of her story with Olivier Alix, from whom she is divorced today.
