After having expressed “all (her) confidence” in the eight new ministers of her team – suggesting that their weekend “was intense” – and underlined that “none (minister, including the starters, Editor’s note) has not been undeserved”, the Prime Minister told them of her “pride” and her “determination” to animate it.
“We must now anticipate the crises of the summer, prepare for the start of the school year and also enrich our action by learning all the lessons of urban violence” at the end of June, she added. Several nights of riots followed the death of young Nahel, killed by a policeman during a road check on June 27 in Nanterre. Elisabeth Borne previously recalled “the course” set on Friday by the President of the Republic, traveling to Nouméa, where he must speak in the 1:00 p.m. television news of TF1 and France 2: “the independence of France to consolidate a fairer model”.
