Elizabeth II: Radio station accidentally publishes Queen's obituary

The radio station RFI accidentally published obituaries for numerous celebrities – including the Queen.

A breakdown of the French radio station Radio France Internationale (RFI) caused a stir. Numerous obituaries of celebrities still alive were accidentally published on the station's website. According to media reports, Queen Elizabeth II (94), actress Clint Eastwood (90, "Gran Torino"), football icon Pelé (80), former US President Jimmy Carter (96) and the Italian and French film legends Sophie Loren are said to be among others (86) and Brigitte Bardot (86) were there.

On its homepage, RFI apologized and stated that a "technical problem" led to the publication of around a hundred obituaries on the website and on partner platforms on November 16. As is common in many media, the obituaries have been prepared so that they can be published as quickly as possible in the event of death. The articles were immediately removed.
