Just a month away from its Platinum Jubilee, Queen Elizabeth IIrecords a new record. Indeed, the monarch is in the second place of the longest reign in history in Europe. Moreover, the royal has passed Sovereign Prince John II of Liechtenstein on Sunday May 8th. Until now, the longest reign is that of Louis XIV with more than 72 years on the throne.
Note that Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 70 years of reign on February 6, 2022 latest. Celebrations are scheduled for early June with the Platinum Jubilee. On May 8, the Queen occupied the throne of England for 25,659 days exactly. Which is equivalent to one day longer than the reign of Prince John II of Liechtenstein. This monarch reigned from November 12, 1858 to February 11, 1929. Which is exactly 70 years and 91 days. As for Louis XIVhe reigned from May 16, 1643 to 1er September 1715, according to Royal Stories. Making 26,407 days or 72 years and 110 days.
