Ella is a member of the children’s jury for the KIKA Award. Yesterday she courageously stood in front of the camera in the daily topics and spoke out in favor of strengthening children’s rights.

“I read that every second refugee is a child and that 60 million children are fleeing the world,” Ella said in her comment. “They all have no future if we forget them. Adults even have a word for all these children: lost generation.” In the video, she explains what absolutely needs to change and what she demands from politicians.

Chapeau before so much courage

Certainly not everyone would have dared to make this television appearance, not even us as adults. Ella stood up for her opinion and the protection of the children here in Germany and it is definitely not a matter of course that the twelve-year-old shows herself so confidently to the many viewers. To that we say: hats off, dear Ella, and thank you for showing us adults and politicians in particular what we need to change and who we should give a voice to more often. We are curious to see what the politicians will reply to this TV appearance.
