Elle Macpherson still has it: she cut her usual good figure on her first catwalk in 14 years.

Elle Macpherson is back on the catwalk: After a 14-year break, the Australian native walked the catwalk at the opening of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

“The Body” lives up to its nickname

The model, also known as “The Body,” last walked the catwalk for Louis Vuitton in Paris in 2010. At the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, she lived up to her nickname: When she arrived, she wore a tight, sleeveless sequin dress by Alex Perry and showed that she still has model dimensions – even though she will be 60 years old on March 29th. She paired the silver dress with a striking white jacket from Toni Maticevski with ruffled edges. She also wore nude strappy sandals from Lana Wilkinson and a silver slouch clutch from A-ESQUE. Elle Macpherson’s make-up was kept simple with transparent nude lip gloss according to the motto “True beauty doesn’t take much”. She wore her blonde curls partially pinned up with loose strands around her face.

On the catwalk itself she later presented a white outfit – long trousers and a long coat. Her long hair was styled open.

“So nice to be home again”

On thanked her Instagram page the 59-year-old for the opportunity and showed some impressions of the day. She said it was an honor to run in Melbourne. “So nice to be back home and supporting Australian designers – thank you.”

In the interview with the Sydney Morning Herald She said that she didn’t see it as much of a return to the catwalk. “This is just an evolution of action,” she said. She doesn’t even know whether it was 11 or 15 “or whatever” years ago. In any case, her gig feels “really worthwhile because I’m passionate about supporting Australian fashion and young designers and I love Melbourne.”
