"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo takes off her doctor's coat and works behind the scenes on a new series for ABC.

At least for a while, "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo (51) will put the stethoscope aside and go behind the scenes of a series production. The actress, known worldwide as Dr. Meredith Gray, the eponymous eponymous heroine of the popular doctor series, will work as executive producer on an adaptation of the novel "Paradise" by Elin Hilderbrand (51) for the US broadcaster ABC. The industry journal "Variety" reports.

That's what the series is about

The project is called "Winter in Paradise" ("Winter in Paradise") – like the first part of the novel series. The series should therefore revolve around Irene Steele, who spends an idyllic life with her husband in the US state of Iowa. But when he dies unexpectedly, Steele finds out that her husband has led a double life – with a second family on the Caribbean island of Saint John.

The script was written by Maria and Andre Jacquemetton, who, along with Laura Holstein and Andrew Stearn, are on board as executive producers. Further details are not currently known. Neither the cast of the series nor a possible release date have been mentioned so far.
