Elon Musk has lost a spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The Tesla boss is now in third place in the super-rich ranking.
Elon Musk (49) has lost his place as the second richest man in the world. The reason his wealth is shrinking is, according to “bloomberg.com” the continuing price losses of the Tesla share. The Tesla boss had to cede his place in the “Bloomberg Billionaires Index” to the French entrepreneur Bernard Arnault (72). Musk, who is now ranked third, still held the top spot in the super-rich ranking in March. He is currently believed to have an estimated $ 160.6 billion in net worth, a 24 percent decrease from January, according to the report.
While Musk’s fortune fell by 9.1 billion US dollars this year according to “Bloomberg” estimates, Bernard Arnault can look forward to increases. His fortune is said to have grown nearly $ 47 billion to $ 161.2 billion. He is therefore benefiting from the growing sales of luxury goods by his company LVMH in China and other parts of Asia. Amazon boss Jeff Bezos (57), who is said to own $ 190 billion, remains at the top of the ranking.
