Some Tesla drivers will not remember this day well, but anyone who drives an electric car from other brands can be happy: Tesla has officially released the first charging stations for third-party brands. After a long wait, it’s now Germany’s turn. We have put together the first free Supercharger locations for you.
Tesla opens the first German superchargers: So now it is!
Suddenly everything happened very quickly: just a short time before, only a lonely Tesla charging station appeared in Germany, where e-cars from other manufacturers could charge, and then disappeared again almost immediately. According to reports from the first e-car drivers who were there, it was still a bit haywire. Just a bug or a test? Now we have clarity that Activation of the Limburg Supercharger cannot have been a coincidence.
Then Tesla has officially approved several charging stations in Germany for all electric cars:
This means that Germany is now taking part in the test after some neighboring countries such as France and the Netherlands. In the coming weeks and months, the number of freely usable superchargers is likely to increase further. In addition to Germany, charging stations in Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg and Switzerland for e-cars from VW, Mercedes, Ford, Peugeot and Co. have also been opened.

So Limburg probably made the start, but is no longer there. If you want to use the offer to charge at Tesla, you need the Tesla app:
Charging e-cars at Tesla: you need to know that
The entire charging process is started and controlled via the app. Billing is then also carried out via the Tesla account, with the account stored there being used to pay. Important: The Superchargers support the CCS charging standard. Non-compatible e-cars can therefore not be connected and charged, or only with an appropriate adapter.

But despite all the euphoria about the soon to be significant increase in the number of charging stations, there remains a drop of bitterness: If you don’t drive a Tesla, you pay extra at the Supercharger. After several price increases, the electricity costs at the supercharger are no longer as cheap as they used to be – not even for Tesla drivers.
