Later than planned by company boss Elon Musk, but in record time compared to other major German construction sites, the new gigafactory of the American electric car group Tesla in Grünheide near Berlin should be able to start production. On Friday afternoon, Dietmar Woidke, Prime Minister of the federal state of Brandenburg, on whose premises the plant is located, attended a press conference together with other government and authority representatives to hand over the final approval notice of the State Office for the Environment to build the two factories for the production of electric cars and battery cells.
