A biography of Elon Musk, published last September in the United States, will be adapted for the big screen.
A true icon of the vast world of new technologies, Elon Musk will receive cinema honors. The man behind the brands Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, also owner of the social network X (formerly Twitter), recently spoke to Walter Isaacson, for the sake of a biography released at the start of the school year. The latter will be adapted for the big screen.
The director of Black Swan at the helm of the Elon Musk biopic
Director Darren Aronofsky will have the difficult and exciting task of directing the biopic dedicated to Elon Musk. Inspired by the biography, he will have to explore the complex life of the Tech mogul, in partnership with the A24 studio, which led a fierce fight to win the precious rights to adapt the book.
Darren Aronofsky is no stranger to 7e art. Famous for having directed Black Swan (with Nathalie Portman and Vincent Cassel) and Requiem for a Dream (portrayed by Ellen Burstyn and Jared Leto), he will bring his talent to the direction, but also to the production of the biopic.
The A24 studio already promises us a captivating dive into the tumultuous life of Elon Musk, whom we saw in the flesh at VivaTech in June. Aronofsky’s mission will be to capture the complex aspects, personality and career of the visionary entrepreneur.
A highly anticipated film, which will be based on a successful biography
The director will rely on the excellent work of Walter Isaacson, who also published Steve Jobs (2011), an authorized biography this time dedicated to the emblematic co-founder of Apple, who died the same year, whose adaptation on the big screen, led by Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet, was praised by critics.
For the Elon Musk biopic, the result must live up to high expectations. It must be said that Walter Isaacson benefited from exceptional access to the boss of Tesla, revealing in particular fascinating details about his youth, marked by school bullying and his impulsive character. The book explores the emotional highs and lows that have shaped the way Musk has run his companies for so many years.
In the biography, Elon Musk is described as a “ big child » attracted by the storm, a true unpredictable leader on an emotional and decision-making level. The biopic should reveal a lesser-known side of the entrepreneur, beyond the clichés that are already circulating about him. If the project is confirmed, we do not yet know when the writing of the script and the filming of the film will start, nor who will play Elon Musk on screen.
