Do you remember this fabulous statue of Elon Musk, whose head rests on a goat’s body, itself on a rocket? It turns out that even the person concerned found the joke a little too far. Indeed, while its creators hoped to get a response from the billionaire on social networks, the latter did not even deign to answer them.
It’s a mistake that cost them $600,000 — in addition to becoming the laughing stock of many Internet users. Two weeks ago, we shared this rather unusual project (to be polite) which takes the form of a statue of Elon Musk. But beware, not just any statue of Elon Musk: it is actually the billionaire’s head on a goat’s body, all resting on a rocket. A fine play on words with the English expression “goat”, in tribute to all the activities of the billionaire.
The project was not only intended to make the few remaining hardcore fans of Elon Musk dream. Indeed, the statue was commissioned by EGT, a company that markets a token in the name of the richest man in the world, the Elon GOAT Token (promised, we are not inventing anything). The idea was then to send the statue to the businessman, in the hope that he would talk about it on his social networks and, in fact, increase the value of the EGT.

Elon Musk ignores the $600,000 statue of him
The math itself is pretty sensible. Indeed, we remember Dogecoin in particular, which was originally a parody cryptocurrency, until Elon Musk started talking about it seriously and pushed up the price. What EGT has obviously miscalculated, however, is that a statue several meters high, with an unusual design, has strangely little chance of arousing emotion.
As expected, Elon Musk was completely unresponsive to the arrival of the statue at Tesla’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. A bitter failure that does not discourage the founders of EGT. The latter now plan to launch the statue on a tour across the United States on the occasion of Christmas, thus transforming the statue into “Elon Santa”. A lot of effort not to lose face.
