Elton John’s new album “The Lockdown Sessions” will be released on October 22nd. He sings with stars like Miley Cyrus and Stevie Wonder.

Elton John (74) is back with new music! The Brit will release his new album “The Lockdown Sessions” on October 22nd. However, this is not a completely normal studio album. Because on every single one of the 16 songs John sings with at least one guest star.

The “Rocket Man” interpreter released the single “Cold Heart” together with Dua Lipa (26) in advance. Stars like Nicki Minaj (38), Charlie Puth (29), Miley Cyrus (28), Lil Nas X (22), Stevie Wonder (71), Eddie Vedder (56) and Stevie Nicks (73) have also signed up for a duet admitted with the six-time Grammy winner.

“Completely different from what you know about me”

“I really didn’t expect that I would record an album during the lockdown of all times,” said John in advance in a press release. Due to the pandemic, many pictures were taken via zoom – completely new territory for the 74-year-old. According to John, the new songs are “completely different from what you know about me”.

David Beckham is “sooo excited”

His feature guests showed up the official Instagram announcement enthusiastic about the album. Dua Lipa and Lil Nas X commented on the post with multiple heart emojis. “World class,” wrote Charlie Puth. Nicki Minaj left an emoji depicting praying hands. “Sooo excited,” wrote ex-professional footballer David Beckham (46), who apparently can’t wait to finally hear the album.
