Elusive: did you like the films? Magician Jesse Eisenberg has good news for you!

Ready for a third magic trick? The illusionist robbers of “Elusive” should very soon find their way back to the film sets!

Magical “The 4 Horsemen” will soon be on tour in a cinema near you! In an interview with ComingSoon, Jesse Eisenberg finally gave news of the third installment of the Elusive franchise currently in preparation, stating that production on the film should begin next year. As for reprising his role as J. Daniels Atlas, he says he’s excited and calls it a much-needed change of pace from some of his more recent roles.

Yes Yes Yes. We are supposed to do it early next year”, said the star of The Social Network, before talking about the differences between his character in the saga and that of his next film, Manodrome. “I am impatient. Unlike a movie like this where my character experiences such deep rage, anxiety, and depression, my character [dans Insaisissables] is so confident and is an artist and a showman and it’s just a breath of fresh air, as an actor, to be able to live in that kind of world too.

THE ELUSIVE THINGS WE KNOW 3

After having played in the first two parts, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman will reprise their respective roles in this third opus, while Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Welcome to Zombieland, Uncharted) will be the director. Michael Lesslie (Assassin’s Creed) will pen the screenplay.

Directed by Louis Leterrier, Elusivethe original, released in 2013, follows a group of magicians, played by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher – who actually almost died on set – and Dave Franco, carrying out bank robberies during their performances before giving the stolen money to their audience. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo as an FBI agent trying to bring the magicians to justice, while Morgan Freeman embodies a demystifier of magic. Elusive was a box office success upon release, grossing $351.7 million worldwide, on a budget of $75 million.

A sequel, Elusive 2, was released in 2016. Directed by Jon M. Chu, we were able to find the main cast there – with the exception ofIsla Fisher –, accompanied this time by Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe. The second part grossed $334 million at the worldwide box office against a budget estimated between $90 and $120 million.
