New look: Elyas M’Barek appeared on the red carpet in Berlin at a film premiere with a head of curls.
Lots of curls and a three-day beard
Because M’Barek now wears his hair much longer than usual. His dark curls come into their own. He also has more hair on his face and has a three-day beard. He chose a simple outfit for his new look: a dark suit and a dark turtleneck sweater. The “Fack ju Göhte” star has enjoyed playing with his look in the past. In 2017 he appeared in “Bullyparade – The Film” with very long hair, and in 2018 he shocked his fans with an extremely short haircut. At that time, many fans mourned his beautiful curls. They should now be more than happy given the current splendor of curls.
Elyas M’Barek voices the duck dad Mack Mallard in the German version of the US animated film “Migration” by Benjamin Renner (40). In the film, a family of four mallard ducks dares to fly from the USA to Jamaica for the first time. “Out of the Pond” will be in theaters on December 21, 2023.
He enjoys anonymity in his new adopted home
The 41-year-old is very familiar with the USA. Shortly after the wedding, he and his wife moved into an apartment in the New York borough of Brooklyn. Above all, M’Barek enjoys his lack of visibility there. “I like being invisible,” he confessed to Men’s Health magazine in June. He thinks it’s “completely okay” to not receive any attention in his private life. “It’s the best thing for me when I sit on a park bench in New York or ride the subway and people don’t pay attention to me. It’s the greatest!” The fame he has in Germany is an advantage professionally, but he doesn’t necessarily need it to be happy. So it’s quite possible that he’ll quickly travel back to New York after the film premiere.
The actor has been married to model Jessica Riso since September 2022. The American then took his last name. She grew up in California but has lived in New York for more than two decades. “I’m so happy that we’re finally living together on the East Coast,” she revealed to the “Gala” in the spring.
