Emergency power generator on offer at Aldi: bridge blackouts for only 249 euros

In times of the energy crisis, solar generators are also popular with non-campers like never before. They can be used to bridge blackouts in an emergency. The run is currently correspondingly large. However, high-performance devices are very expensive, sometimes costing 5,000 euros and more. Even smaller power stations like the Jackery Explorer 500 are not exactly cheap in the sale. At Aldi there is a significantly cheaper alternative in the online shop from November 6th.

The Walter power generator is currently available exclusively from Aldi. The discounter sells the device for 249 euros, which is 50 euros below the manufacturer’s recommended retail price.

The Walter power generator runs on petrol. The device has a 1.5 kW (2 HP) drive motor that offers a continuous output of up to 1,000 watts.

The fuel tank holds 4 liters, consumption is 0.68 liters per hour – at a two-thirds load. The disadvantage of petrol generators is the volume, because the operation is not exactly quiet. However, the device from Walter is a good option for emergencies, gardening, construction sites and the like.

Compared to a solar generator, you can also use the petrol generator independently of the power grid for a longer period of time. So you are on the safe side even in the event of longer power outages.
