Emilia Clarke: "GoT" star hosts virtual dinner with fans

Anyone who has always wanted to cook and have dinner with the mother of dragons, actress Emilia Clarke (33), now has the chance. The "Game of Thrones" star launched a call for donations via Instagram on Monday evening. Her bait: "Twelve happy people" who followed the call would then receive an invitation to a virtual dinner with her.

"We're going to put together a dinner with ingredients from the pantry, cook it, and then eat it together," Clarke said in her two and a half minute video. What could the chosen ones look forward to? Talking about isolation, showing funny videos and Clarke's supposedly miserable cooking skills. "So it will be fun. It will be interesting," says the actress.

Call for donations for a good cause

With her call for donations, the "Game of Thrones" actress would like to mobilize a total of £ 250,000 (around 280,000 euros) to her charity organization "SameYou". The money is intended to help offer "essential support" to stroke patients and patients with brain injuries. In times of the coronavirus pandemic, these would often be released from the hospital prematurely in order to be able to release the beds to Covid 19 patients, the actress explains. Her goal is to use the money to set up a virtual rehabilitation clinic so that the discharged patients have a contact point.
