Her two daughters don’t seem to like Emily Blunt’s character in the cult comedy “The Devil Wears Prada” at all.
The cult comedy “The Devil Wears Prada” was released in cinemas 18 years ago. But viewers still love the convincing and satirical look behind the scenes of a fictional fashion magazine. Superstar Emily Blunt, 41, played the character Emily in the film, the stressed and not particularly friendly assistant to the main character and magazine boss Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep, 75) – and apparently so convincingly that her two daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 7, find the portrayal of their own mother quite unpleasant.

“They thought I was the meanest person they had ever met,” the actress revealed in conversation with the US portal “Page Six” about her children’s reaction to her role in the cult comedy. At the same time, Blunt is amazed at the enduring fan love that “The Devil Wears Prada” still seems to inspire, almost two decades after its release.
“It’s incredible that the film leaves such an indelible mark on people,” says the star of the Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer.” According to Blunt, not a week goes by without people being confronted with a quote from the film.
A sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada” is said to According to information from “The Hollywood Reporter” are in the works. Author Aline Brosh McKenna, 57, who wrote the screenplay for the original, is currently working on the script for the sequel. However, there is currently no confirmed information about the actresses or a possible start of filming.
