Emily in Paris: When is season 4 coming to Netflix?

Season 4 was announced alongside the renewal of Season 3. However, a more precise release date is currently not known. We’re leaving December 2024 because Netflix announced the new episodes during “Next on Netflix 2024” for this year.

The plan was actually to shoot the third and fourth seasons back to back. However, due to the 2023 writers and actors strikes in the USA, this plan had to be changed. Filming of the new episodes of “Emily in Paris” could not begin in Paris until January 2024.

Lead actress Lily Colins shared a picture of herself with the script for the first episode on Instagram. The cover page shows that filming began on January 17, 2024.

Since both the second and third seasons were released in December, just in time for a Christmas binge marathon, we’re guessing that season 4 will also be released in the winter.

Emily in Paris Season 4: Plot

We reveal what happens next with “Emily in Paris” in season 4. In an interview with US magazine Forbes, series boss Darren Star revealed that he has no “set agenda” when it comes to how long the series will last.

I think that’s because you discover so much while making the series, because the world of the characters is constantly evolving. With “Emily in Paris” I see opportunities for growth.

It’s possible that behind the scenes, Netflix and showrunner Darren Star are already planning for an ending after Season 4. After all, every RomCom needs a happy ending and nothing would be more annoying than if interest in “Emily in Paris” suddenly wanes and the story remains open due to cancellation.

However, fans don’t have to worry about such thoughts for the time being, as the future of the series is secured at least until 2024. Maybe we can even expect a guest appearance from Omar Sy from “Lupin”, as Lily Collins has already spoken of her desire to cross paths with the detective as Emily Cooper.

What is certain, however, is that Emily will take a trip to Rome in the new season. Collins already reveals this in a short video for the Tudum fan event. She also talks about the many open questions that still need to be answered after season 3: Is Alfie’s heart still broken? Will Gabriel get a Michelin star? Will Mindy go to the Eurovision Song Contest with her band? Will Sylvie’s warmed love last? Will Emily and Gabriel finally be together?

Emily in Paris Season 4 – Who’s in it?

“Emily in Paris” wouldn’t be “Emily in Paris” without, well, Emily in Paris (Lily Collins). Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Camille (Camille Razat) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) will also be there in season 4. Em’s best friend and roommate Mindy (Ashley Park) will also return, although that was initially uncertain due to the actress’ serious illness. But Park will rejoin the cast during filming. We will also see Emily’s boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) and her colleagues Julian (Samuel Arnold) and Luc (Bruno Gouery) again in season 4.

It’s possible we’ll see some new characters too. Be it a new love for Emily or some other rivals in the marketing world.
