The album classic "The Marshall Mathers LP" is 20 years old. Rapper Eminem has therefore come up with a special campaign.

Eminem's (47) groundbreaking "The Marshall Mathers LP" celebrates its 20th birthday. In the course of the anniversary, the rapper came up with an extraordinary campaign. He posted a phone number on Twitter, where his fans can send him a short message. "Write to me, I also answer," Eminem explains, among other things, and quotes a line from his hit "Stan", which is also on the album.

That's what the song is about

The song "Stan", in which the British singer Dido (48) is featured, is about a fictional, obviously obsessed fan who contacts Eminem. In the song, the rapper does not get to answer several of the man's letters in good time and defuse the situation before the fan kills himself and his girlfriend.

In the song, Eminem suggested in a reply letter, among other things, that Stan should go to psychological counseling before noticing that the news of the very same fan had been reported in the news a few weeks earlier.

The fan base of Eminem has often referred to itself as "Stans" for some time. For a few years now, the term has even been used in the Oxford English Dictionary as a description for an obsessed fan. It is not known whether the rapper can actually reply to all of the certainly countless messages.
