Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming-Willis takes part in brain health study
After his aphasia diagnosis in March 2022, Bruce Willis, 69, and his family had the sad certainty a year later: he was suffering from frontotemporal dementia (FTD). In FTD, nerve cells die primarily in the forehead and temple area (= frontal and temporal lobes) of the brain, where emotions and social behavior are controlled, among other things. The action star had to end his acting career. Since then, Bruce Willis’ second wife Emma Heming-Willis, 46, with whom he has two daughters, has done everything she can to raise awareness about the disease. Now the entrepreneur is going one step further.
In her Instagram story, Emma shows herself during the blood test. Heming-Willis reveals that she is taking part in “an advanced study on brain health.” She is hopeful and writes: “There are exciting and hopeful things on the horizon for neurodegenerative diseases.” She then uses the hashtags “hope” and “brain health knowledge” for the short video recording. Perhaps a method will soon be developed that can also help her husband Bruce Willis. It would be more than desirable for the Hollywood star.
