In December, Emma Roberts gave birth to a healthy boy. On Instagram, she is now showing his face for the first time.
In December Emma Roberts (29, "Nerve") and Garrett Hedlund (36, "Tron: Legacy") became parents for the first time. In a new snapshot that the actress uploaded to Instagram on Monday, parts of the face of little Rhodes Robert Hedlund can be seen for the first time.
"Rhodes meets Joan" can be read next to the black and white photo of Roberts holding her offspring close to her chest with his eyes closed. "Joan" refers to the author Joan Didion (86), whose work "Let Me Tell You What I Mean" the actress currently seems to be reading. Behind the book you can see the nose, eyes and ears of her son, who is wearing a hat on his head.
Your son is Emma Roberts' "bright light"
The 29-year-old shared the first photo of her baby a week ago with the public. On it she wears an orange dress and looks into the face of the newborn, which she is holding tightly in her arms. "Thank you 2020 for doing something right," wrote Julia Roberts' niece (53, "Pretty Woman") on Instagram about the picture. She describes her son as her "bright light".
Roberts announced her pregnancy on the social media platform in August. At that time she already knew that she and her partner Garrett Hedlund were expecting a boy. The two actors have been a couple since 2019. It's the first child for both of them.
