Six other candidates had taken part in the previous issue, Thursday March 31: Nathalie Arthaud (LO), Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (DLF), Jean Lassalle (Resist!), Marine Le Pen (RN), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI) and Fabien Roussel (PCF). “We regret it, and our viewers too”, writes the SDJ of France 2

Emmanuel Macron is therefore the only candidate not to participate in one of these two issues of the weekly show, which take place at a time when strict equality of speaking time must be respected by the channels. In a press release, the Society of Journalists (SDJ) of France 2 criticized him for “refusing the invitations” of the channel. “Despite multiple invitations and proposals, you did not participate in any of the many political meetings of France 2. We regret it, and our viewers too”, writes the SDJ to the address of the president-candidate.
