IEmmanuel Macron’s approval rating regains 3 points in March and that of Elisabeth Borne stabilizes as the pension reform challenge continues, according to an Ifop-Fiducial poll for Sud Radio and Paris Match published on Tuesday. The head of state sees his action approved by 37% of those polled after falling in February to 34%, its lowest level since March 2020.

Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, on the front line on pension reform, sees her rating stabilize at 31% approval, still at the lowest. According to this survey, 32% of French people believe that the Head of State “leads a good economic policy” (- 4 points) and 39% that he is “capable of reforming the country” (+ 1).

Elisabeth Borne not “close enough to the concerns of the French”

The Prime Minister is perceived as “open to dialogue” by 29% of the French (+ 2 points) but only 24% consider her “close to the concerns of the French” (- 2). Survey conducted on March 2 and 3 with a sample of 1,002 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over, according to the quota method, with a margin of error of between 1.4 and 3.1 points .
