Mont-de-Marsan, FRANCE, January 20 (Reuters) – President Emmanuel Macron announced on Friday that a budget of 400 billion euros would be allocated to the French army budget for the period 2024-2030, against 295 billion euros between 2019 and 2025.
The head of state presented the new 2024-2030 budget as a “transformation” plan aimed at adapting the army to the possibility of intense conflicts, a scenario reinforced by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
