Emmanuel Macron’s second term begins with a series of social crises and an ever greater fracture with the French. Nadine Morano, Les Républicains deputy in the European Parliament and guest of Europe 1 this Tuesday morning, believes that he “has become the president of useless speech” alluding to his televised speech on Monday evening.

Emmanuel Macron addressed the French this Monday evening on TF1 for the umpteenth time since the beginning of the year. For some, his repeated speeches are proof of a lack of consideration for his campaign promises. This is the case of Nadine Morano, guest of Europe 1 this Tuesday morning, who remembers that in 2017, “he said he would be the president with rare speech, he became the president with useless speech “.

For the deputy Les Républicains in the European Parliament, presidential speeches are now meaningless since they serve no other purpose than to regain the approval of the people, probably in vain. “I was very surprised to see him do this interview with a desire to restore his image, a very damaged image”, she believes before adding, “and above all to make a bogus announcement”.

“He is totally above ground”

“Because coming on TV, saying to the French ‘I’m going to lower taxes for the middle classes by 2 billion euros’, without saying how or on what tax, I find that it’s still cheeky”, judge Nadine Morano . For the latter, Emmanuel Macron’s announcement is indeed unrealistic, especially since the country is going through a period of economic fragility. “When you are in a country with such high public spending, and a debt that will reach 3 billion euros, 111% of the gross inferior product, you say to yourself ‘but it is total above ground'”, s’ indignant the guest of Europe Matin.

In addition, MP LR returns to the questionable management of the executive of the pension reform. “I have voted for two pension reforms since I was elected, in terms of method, we have never passed a pension reform on an amending finance bill for social security”, assures Nadine Morano. “We have never despised the social partners,” she finally adds.
