Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday “hate the debate” distinguishing the value of “Jewish lives” and “Palestinian lives”, and called for “protecting civilians in Gaza first”, during a meeting with Kazakh students in Astana.

While traveling to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the French head of state spoke out on the conflict between Israel and Hamas during a meeting with Kazakh students in Astana: “I hate this debate which divides people and where we say: ‘for me Jewish lives are more important’ or ‘for me Palestinian lives are more important'”, declared the French head of state, affirming that “every life counts in this world”.

Returning to the bombings of the Israeli army on the Gaza Strip, Emmanuel Macron also called again to “protect civilians first” because “they have nothing to do with the terrorist attacks” of Hamas against Israel from October 7.
