Emmanuel Macron: this concert to which the President will soon be present: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

It may be the beginning of the world after: the date of May 29, 2021 will indeed be remembered. It was on this day that the group Indochina will take the stage, at the Accor Arena in Paris, in front of 5,000 spectators: it will be the first French group to have this chance since the date of the first confinement, in March 2020. This will be possible thanks to Prodiss (the union of the main show producers), who sent an open letter to Emmanuel Macron on April 12, 2021, asking for his help in setting up a “test concert” in France. This letter was a real success, since this test concert had been declared as a “national priority by the government. On April 23, Roselyne Bachelot, back after her hospitalization, announced that the concert would take place: “We are in the process of releasing the funding”, she explained on BFMTV. Indeed, this concert required a big organization, for funding of no less than 900,000 euros!

5,000 people… and the President!

This concert will aim to check that such an event is possible with good upstream organization, and without contaminating anyone. It will bring together 5,000 people, previously tested negative for Covid-19, 72 hours before D-Day. On site, they will obviously be masked and standing, but without social distancing. If this test is conclusive and that no one is contaminated, so a return to major concerts and festivals could be envisaged next fall! And among the lucky ones who will be able to be part of this experience, President Emmanuel Macron, who announced on April 28, 2021 the four dates of deconfinement, will be present, as revealed the JDD Thursday April 29. “The President intends to make the event a symbol of the return of ‘happy days‘”, thus writes the newspaper. During this concert, the group Indochina will be at the head of the bill, for a very specific reason: “We want to do it to help the whole profession, to demonstrate, as in Barcelona, Amsterdam, that going to a concert is not risky”, said Nicolas Sirkis, the group’s leader, to theAFP. Indeed, France will be the third country after the Netherlands and Spain to organize a test concert.
