Guillaume Gomez talks about his incredible career and his experience in the presidential palace: "25 years serving more than two million meals for four Presidents and the 800 agents who work within the Presidency. 25 years carrying to the highest levels, with passion, French excellence, its traditions, its art of living". Proud to have contributed in his own way to the influence of France and aware of the shock wave his departure was going to cause, the chef wanted to explain his choice. Guillaume Gomez's new functions

The 42-year-old chef has in fact decided to take on new functions, still at the Elysee Palace, but as "personal representative of the President of the Republic to the actors and networks of gastronomy and food". A new role which is close to his heart and which will allow him to continue to serve his country in a different way, from the beginning of March. The replacement for the chef of Spanish origin has not yet been found. According to The Express, Guillaume Gomez's two assistants will therefore take over until a new cook is appointed.
